    Традиционный ритуал церемоний открытия и закрытия. Во время проведения церемонии открытия парад участников начинается, как только глава страны-организатора после официальной встречи с президентом МОК и президентом ОКОИ займет свое место в ложе Олимпийского стадиона. Впереди каждой делегации, одетой в парадную униформу, участники шествия несут щит с названием страны и национальный флаг. Парад участников проходит в порядке алфавита страны-организатора; исключения составляют делегация Греции, открывающая шествие, и делегация страны-организатора, замыкающая его. В параде имеют право принимать участие только спортсмены-участники Игр с правом проживания в Олимпийской деревне и не более шести официальных лиц на одну делегацию. На церемонии закрытия спортсмены выходят на стадион все вместе, без образования каких-либо групп. На Олимпийских зимних играх шествие спортсменов проходит в начале церемонии, после чего спортсмены занимают места, зарезервированные для них на трибунах.

    participants parade
    Traditional ritual of the opening and closing ceremonies. During the opening ceremony, the participants parade begins after the Head of State of the host country has been received by the IOC President and the OCOG President, and is seated in his/her box in the official stand. Each delegation, dressed in its official uniform, is preceded by a name-board bearing its name and is accompanied by its flag, to be carried by a member of the delegation. The delegations march in alphabetical order according to the language of the host country, save for Greece, which leads the parade, and for the host country, which brings up the rear. Only those athletes participating in the Olympic Games with the right to accommodation in the Olympic Village may take part in the parade, led by a maximum of six officials per delegation.the closing ceremony, the athletes enter the stadium en masse without any groupings whatsoever. For Winter Games, the athletes’ march is near the beginning of the ceremony, and the athletes take seats reserved for them in the audience.
